I would like to thank all that have shown such enthusiasm for our newest initiative "Discover the Meaning." Sandra Cole has been inundated with calls from Democrats like you asking how to get involved. The process is fairly easy. The events we have planned are all North Country based and will truly help those in need across our community. We'll be bell ringing, working local food kitchens, raising funds and doing whatever we can to make sure this holiday season doesn't pass with out each and every one of us reaching out to those who need us the most in our community.
We all know how difficult it can be to make it here in the North Country. We at the JCDC understand that times are tight and the dollar doesn't go as far as it used to. Although we are accepting and donating money to local charities you can donate your service too. What we would most like to see are people donating time. That's right- TIME! Take an hour out of your week and give back to a community that has made you what you are. I can guarantee your heart will feel refreshed and who knows it might make you "Discover the Meaning"

SANDRA COLE ADDED AN SHORT ADDENDUM
At the Celebration of Change dinner event sponsored by the JCDC this Saturday night at the Partridge Berry Inn celebrators can help join in the spirit of 'Discover the Meaning' by bringing some non perishable food items. Sandra will make sure they are transported to local food banks. She also added that if, in the future, you have an excess stockpile of plastic grocery bags the food pantries need them also. Perhaps you have current, or near current, magazines. She will make certain that they will be distributed to the right places too.
