Unions anticipating a more friendly administration in the White House and solid Democratic control of Congress are expected to push for legislation abandoning the secret ballot in order to build membership.
A priority for organized labor will be enactment of the Employee Free Choice Act, or card-check bill. It would alter the long-established method of deciding whether to form a union. Read on
