Senate Dems Announce Budget Forums

Mentioned briefly by Sen. Malcolm Smith yesterday, the incoming majority will hold a series of meetings on issues concerning next year's state budget — the first two to be conducted before the governor releases his proposal.
The purpose: "To receive input directly from stakeholders throughout new York State on the fiscal crisis, proposed budget cuts and additional savings and revenue proposals in key areas of the budget."
The first, hosted by senators Bill Stachowski and Antoine Thompson, takes place Dec. 9 at the Buffalo Museum of Science. The second, lef by Senator-elect Brian Foley, will happen Dec. 11 in Brookhaven. Darrel Aubertine and David Valesky hosts the third, slated for Dec. 19 in Oswego
