Russell will serve on agriculture, veterans boards

ALBANY — Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell has received her committee assignments.
The Democrat from Theresa will serve on the following committees: Corporations and Authorities; Economic Development; Agriculture; Veterans Affairs; Local Government and Banking.
"I'm very happy with these assignments," she said. "They reflect my district very well."
Ms. Russell said her primary intent in the coming months, in addition to working with her legislative colleagues on the state's budget crisis, is to give a voice to a district that last year went nine months without representation in the Assembly.
"My continued focus will be on economic development and community-specific issues," she said, specifically mentioning Massena Electric's hydropower dam on the Grasse River and the needs of the Fort Drum community.
