“Upon the urging of many friends and colleagues, I submitted my name for consideration as the Democratic nominee in the upcoming 23^rd Congressional race. There were many variables that I have considered, including continuing my rewarding work on behalf of the people of the 118th River District as well as the upcoming birth of my second child.I have decided that I will not seek the nomination and am withdrawing my name from further consideration. I look forward to continuing to work in the Assembly on the many projects in which I am currently involved, and with Senator Aubertine on the critical issues facing our region.”
